I was based in Auckland for one year, traveling almost the entire North Island in my very first mini van — which I even lived in for the first two months before starting my work as a Spanish teacher at an international school. New Zealand is an amazing place: empty, clean beaches, incredible surf spots for beginners and pros alike, friendly people, lush green landscapes, and breathtaking nature. Every day was an adventure, both on the waves and off.
